Working with CLT has many benefits including utilising the carbon sequestering properties of trees, and weighing less than one fifth of the weight of concrete.

 

CLT has good structural properties and low environmental impact (where sustainably sourced timber is used). It provides dry, fast onsite construction, with potential to achieve airtightness and a robust wall and floor structure suitable for internal and external finishes. As timber it is also naturally fire retardant as it chars when burnt.
